History: Contains massive spoilers for the Godchild/Cain Saga series
Jezebel was born the bastard son of Earl Alexis Hargreaves and, for the first several years of his life, had a happy childhood living with his mother and sisters and being regularly visited by his father. He was a very sweet, caring child, but also very sickly from an unnamed disease that made him very frail.
His childhood took a dark turn when his sisters both disappeared, supposedly to go live with their father. Jezebel did not ever piece together that anything was wrong, especially since he was doted on by their father for being his only son, with talks that Jezebel would be legitimized so that his father would have an heir.
Things changed drastically when Jezebel was about ten years' old, when he had a surgery to cure his childhood ailments. The surgery was successful, and he went to live with his father and begin learning medicine. However, it was not long before his father dropped several cruel bombshells: firstly, he tricked Jezebel into eating the meat of a lamb he had kept as a pet for his entire childhood. He then revealed in quick succession that, 1) he now had another son, one who would be raised as his legitimate heir, 2) his mother and sisters were dead, 3) the surgery he'd undergone had been an organ replacement -- with the organs taken from his sisters, who'd been sacrificed in order to keep him alive.
These revelations psychologically broke Jezebel, and he was never the same. He was brought to feel that he was damned for the deaths of his sisters, and grew up deeply resenting his half-brother Cain. His father raised him to be a doctor and surgeon working with Delilah, a cult organization that participated in occult rituals, wildly unethical scientific experiments, and violent plots in order to gain wealth and property. Jezebel became one his father's main accomplices in his plans, including violent experiments on unwilling subjects and plots to both torment and thwart his brother Cain.
Over time, Jezebel grew more unhinged and violent, eagerly participating in his father's plans even as he resented his father for his abuse and favoritism. As the series progressed, Jezebel remained one of the main antagonists to his brother's plans, deliberately tormenting Cain and his friends with threats and violence. He claimed to both hate and love his brother in turn, hating him for replacing him while also loving him for being the only other family member to understand their father's horrific nature.
Towards the end of the series, Jezebel shows signs that he may begin resisting his ties to his father and shedding his violent behavior. He grows hesitant to hurt his brother or his brother's friends, and begins developing a close bond with his assistant, who urges him to abandon his father. However, he is unable to fully shed those ties -- when a Delilah member attempts to shoot his father, Jezebel jumps in front of him and is fatally shot instead. Still, he dies on a redemptive note, choosing to assist his brother's ally in his last moments by slitting his throat & giving him his blood, which he uses to regain his strength and try to save Cain.
Personality:
Jezebel is first and foremost a person with a long history of violence. He has killed dozens of people in increasingly painful and bloody ways, and leaves an incredibly long body trail throughout the course of his canon series. Other characters comment that Jezebel is enamored with blood, and he shows it in his varied methods of murder, whether it be killing vain women by feeding them parasites "for their looks" or hypnotizing his patients to hack their daughter's friends apart with an axe. In flashbacks, it's implied that he often felt cold and lonely growing up after the death of his mother & sisters, but that the feeling of blood kept him warm, "almost like being loved", leading to his love of the macabre.
A great deal of Jezebel's violent nature relates to his abusive relationship with his father. In spite of all of the horrors his father inflicts on him, Jezebel stays with him in Delilah -- partially because his father has convinced him that he is unworthy of love from anyone else, but also because he knows his father will find some cruel way to punish him if he were to try to resist him. The twisted relationship between them results in Jezebel both loving and hating him in turn, and both enjoying and resenting the violence he's asked to enact. He is shown openly attacking his brother Cain (in spite of receiving whippings for doing so) and doing things specifically to irritate his father (such as wearing his hair long to look like his murdered mother), while also openly trying to curry his father's favor (especially compared to his more-beloved half-brother) and, ultimately, taking a fatal wound to save his father's life.
The result is that Jezebel's morality is difficult to define post-canon -- in life, his actions were tied to the orders of his father, an incredibly sadistic man who had no trouble endangering or abusing his children for his own mysterious goals. However, as time passed, Jezebel seemed to grow more rebellious against those constraints, deliberately disobeying his father's orders even when it resulted in physical abuse, and aiding his brother in times of distress in spite of their rivalry. He also grows resistant to causing violence to others, including his brother, and ultimately dies (after being fatally wounded) when he gives his blood to his brother's ally in the hopes of keeping his brother alive. He seems to desire some sort of freedom or redemption, even though he acknowledges fully that he doesn't deserve it, and may not ever be entirely free from his past or his father.
However, even beforehand, Jezebel has a somewhat gentler side. He is particularly fond of animals and nature, treating all creatures he encounters with love and care. As a child, he felt immense guilt for eating animals as meat, and after his father tricks him into eating his own pet lamb, he spends the rest of his life as a vegetarian so that he might never again harm another animal. He is shown spending free time feeding birds in London, and even resurrecting a dead dog to keep as a companion after it's abused. When he dies, he is buried in the woods per his wishes, so that he can go back to nature and be among animals in the afterlife.
Outside of his familial relationships, Jezebel is capable of both intense loyalty and deep cruelty in turns. It is heavily implied that he has a misogynistic streak, particularly against passive women, because he resents his mother for letting him and his sisters be abused. This shows itself in multiple romantic relationships with women where he grows to loathe them for their complacent attitude towards violence, before ultimately killing them. However, he is also shown to have great loyalty to his assistant, who both saves him from danger and urges him to free himself from his father and Delilah. Jezebel grows to appreciate his help and his companionship, and eventually risks his own torture/sexual assault in a wager to acquire a surgery his assistant needs. When Jezebel dies, his assistant is the one holding him in his arms as he passes, leading Jezebel to spend his dying thoughts realizing that he was the only person who he ever had a truly caring relationship with.
Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping: Jezebel is a non-powered human in his own world. However, he does have knowledge of 1) rituals that can raise the dead and clone their bodies, 2) hypnosis that can affect people's willpower and erase/replace memories. The resurrection rituals are unlikely to be used in Deerington, but if his hypnosis needs to be warped, it can be made ineffectual. He is also capable of surgeries that might lean towards the unreal, such as brain transplants and inserting poison capsules into a person's back teeth.
Inventory: 1) a set of scalpels and surgical knives
2) a cross necklace, given to him by his father
3) a set of jars containing human organs in formaldehyde (if this is too gross/graphic, I can leave them out)

Are you comfortable with prominent elements of fourth-walling?: Yes!
What themes of horror/psychological thrillers do you enjoy the most?: I love the elevation of normal human fears and emotions using horror tropes. For example, I love the film Hereditary and the way it takes normal human emotions around grief/loss and elevates them with a supernatural plot around ghosts & cults, or how films like Silence of the Lambs can be used to discuss sexism in society/the workplace.
Is there anything in particular you absolutely need specific content warnings for?: No, I’m generally not easily triggered and won’t need any specific warnings beyond the general ones provided.
